On July 31, Flume (real name Harley Edward Streten) finally brought out his latest EP, Quits- a collaboration with rapper Reo Cragun. Fans of the Australian producer have really been treated over the last few months, as he only just dropped his mixtape Hi This is Flume back in March. The Quits EP is made up of three tracks and includes the previously released Friends, with Cragun's distinctively passionate voice featuring across all three.
Track #2 off the EP, Levitate, was first premiered on Zane Lowe's Beats 1 World Record show yesterday, during which Flume discussed how the EP came about as well as the relationship that he shares with Cragun.
“This EP is us as a friendship, hanging out, just making tracks, having too many good songs and we’re like, ‘We need to get these out into the world.’ So we were like, ‘Let’s just do an EP.’ So we put them all together, and there you have it. The Quits EP.”
Flume also announced that he would be performing a new live show across a number of days in August and November, in addition to the already huge tour that he has lined up for rest of the year. Check out the full EP below and see what you think.
This latest material comes shortly after Flume released the single Let You Know with London Grammar last month, you can listen to the full track below:
