From the performances to the speeches, here's all our highlights from the Brits 2020.
1. Dave's stunning rendition of 'Black'
Rapper Dave took home the best album prize for Psychodrama, which also won the highly prestigious Mercury Prize last year. During his rendition of Black, Dave delivered the words with an intense passion, backed only by a piano. Black speaks about the systemic racism engrained in every aspect our society, and the rapper effortlessly spat out the bars "working twice as hard as the people you know you're better than, cos you know you need to do double just so you can level them".
Dave's genius really shone towards the end of the song, when he took the chance to call out Prime Minister Boris Johnson for his own racism, as well as highlighting issues like Grenfell and the media's treatment of Meghan Markle.
2. Lewis Capaldi: 'Someone You Loved'
The Scottish sensation was the biggest winner of the night, taking home the awards for best new artist and best single— which he won for the touching ballad, Someone You Loved.
Capaldi has amassed a huge following on social media, where he's gained a reputation for his humour and charisma which was evident in his acceptance speeches. The star pointed out that, contrary to public opinion, his biggest hit was not written about his ex-girlfriend (one of the current Love Island cast members), but is in fact an ode to his Grandma who passed away a few years ago.
"Thanks to my Grandmother, for... uh... dying?".
Capaldi's second speech was a bit more concise. After making his way onto the stage—Buckfast in hand— the Scotsman downed his drink, leant forward and shouted "thank you very f*cking much", before leaving again.
3. Lizzo's grand entrance
International female nominee Lizzo stole the show with her Moschino gown, designed by Jeremy Scott to resemble a giant Hershey's chocolate bar wrapper. Later on, the Juice singer dazzled the arena with a high-energy, powerful melody featuring some of her most-loved hits.
4. Rising Star Celeste sings 'Strange'
Celeste was named as the Brits' latest rising star, an award previously won by some of the nation's most successful artists, including Sam Smith and Adele. The star's haunting take on her own song Strange showcased her talents beautifully, proving just why she was chosen as the recipient of this award (formerly known as the 'critics choice').
5. Harry Style performs 'Falling'
Double nominee Harry Styles brought the audience to tears during his touching performance of Falling, which marks the first time he's sang in public since he was mugged at knifepoint on Valentine's day. Over the weekend, we learned the news that Styles' ex-girlfriend—TV presenter Caroline Flack— tragically passed away, which he paid tribute to by wearing a black ribbon on the red carpet.
6. Harry, Lizzo and host Jack Whitehall share a stiff drink
7. Billie Eilish performs James Bond theme 'No Time To Die' for the first time
Billie Eilish has had an incredible year, sweeping the board at the Grammy's following the release of her debut studio album When We All Fall Asleep Where Do We Go?. Taking home the award for international female, Eilish gave a chilling rendition of her recently released James Bond theme: No Time To Die.
During her acceptance speech, the 18-year-old held back tears as she said "I've felt very hated recently, and when I was on the stage and I saw you guys all smiling at me, it genuinely made me wanna cry".
8. Stormzy floods the stage— in every sense
After winning the Brit for best British male, Stormzy completely wowed everyone at the O2 Arena with a breathtaking medley of his hits Don't Forget To Breathe, Wiley Flow, Own It and Rainfall. Aptly, rain gushed down onto the stage as the ex-Glastonbury headliner was joined by a huge entourage, creating a completely euphoric atmosphere.
Twitter users were quick to point out that Stormzy's outfit looked a little familiar...
9. Tyler The Creator's shout out to Theresa May
As he took to the stage to accept the award for international male, Tyler The Creator gave thanks to Theresa May, who previously banned the artist from the UK in response to some of his lyrics.
