Hydeout Singapore the Latest Festival Postponed due to Coronavirus
Feb 26, 2020 | by Will Mitchell
Hydeout Festival Singapore is the latest victim of coronavirus COVID19, after organisers announced it will be rescheduled for later this year. The show was originally due to take place on two weekends, April 10-11 and April 17-18, but will now be held on October 9-10 and 16-17 of this year.
Hydeout is just the latest in a series of events worldwide to have been affected by the growing outbreak, following the likes of the Venice Carnival this week. The rise in global cases has also cast doubt on whether or not the Tokyo Olympics can go ahead in summer as planned, as more and more countries outside of China are struggling to control the number of people infected. Other music festivals that have been postponed include electronic festival Sónar Hong Kong and Overpass Music Festival in California.
New Dates Revealed for Hydeout 2020
Despite the dates switching to October, the inaugural Hydeout will still proceed in its original venue at The Meadow @ Gardens by the Bay. The event is slated as Singapore's answer to Coachella, featuring a huge, multi-genre lineup spread out across two consecutive weekends.
Those who already bought tickets are still able to use them on the rescheduled dates, however if there is any change to the schedule or lineup then guests will be able to choose their preferred dates. Attendees who are unable to make the new dates will also be eligible for a refund of their tickets.
The current lineup as it stands for Hydeout 2020 includes some of EDM's biggest staples, such as DJ Snake, Alison Wonderland, Martin Garrix and Nicky Romero, as well as hip-hop Gods Gucci Mane and ASAP Rocky. See the full list of acts below.
