The Launch of Premiere Digital Music Platform Beatsource with Special Guests and Performances

The new music platform will target open-format artists
Beatsource, the premiere digital music platform for open-format DJs, hosted its official launch event last night at the private residence of Absolut Elyx CEO, Jonas Tahlin.
Created earlier this year as a joint venture between Beatport and DJ City, the leading promo pool service for the open-format DJ community, Beatsource will service a critical segment of the DJ ecosystem that is traditionally overlooked by other online marketplaces.
Open-Format DJs (sometimes referred to as multi-genre DJs) are DJs that will play a mix based on either the specific genres requested, or they will read the crowd and select the music according to the audience's response.

Beatsource focuses on hip-hop, R&B, Latino, electronic, radio hits, reggae, Afrobeats and more. The platform has an impressive list of curators, including Heisler Euan (Kidd Spin), James Grey (DJames of Capital XTRA), Alaric Fuller (DJ Majestik of 97.1 AMP Radio LA & FireLane) and Andrew Ortiz (DJ Drew of 102.7 KIIS-FM).

Beatsource's Hollywood Hills Launch Party
Guests were treated to specialty cocktails from Absolut Elyx including the latest serves, the Rhubarb Mule, Elyx Spritz and Elyx Martini, along with demonstrations from Beatsource technology partners Pioneer DJ and Denon DJ and a special performance from A-Trak and DJ Spider.
