2. The Annual Obama Summer Playlist is Here Again
Known as one of the presidents with the best music tastes, former US President Barack Obama just released his much-anticipated annual summer playlist. Commenting on his list, Obama referred to the collection as "Some new, some old, some fast, some slow".
True to his word, this well-rounded song list not only has the hottest stars of the moment (Lil Nas X, Lizzo, Camila Cabello, SZA, Ella Mai and so on), but also some timeless classics from Stevie Wonder, The Rolling Stones etc.!
3. Taylor Swift's Latest Album Tops the Charts
On August 23, Taylor Swift revealed her seventh album Lover, which broke the record for most album sales in the US this year within just two days of its release. 4. Apple Music Launches New Playlist
Apple Music recently promoted a new playlist called Shazam Discovery Top 50, which will be updated once a week in order to bring you the hottest singles from artists around the world.
Shazam is a well-known music recognition app with users located right across the globe, the application works by identifying songs based on a short sample played using your device's microphone.
Apple is taking advantage of this by compiling a list of the 50 songs with the most 'Shazams', as a way of helping users to discover the latest trends.
5. Alison Wonderland Cancels Shows From Exhaustion
Over the last week, Alison Wonderland mentioned on Twitter that she was suffering from mental and physical exhaustion due to her busy tour plan. Doctors and agents all proposed that she take a break to recover, which is when Alison Wonderland herself realized that she needed more time to focus on her mental health.
As a result, the DJ cancelled several shows in Europe and apologized to fans who wanted to watch the show. It is well known that being a DJ or producer is a very energy-intensive, physically demanding job, so it's definitely important they take time to rest and look after themselves every now and again.
