Here's our round-up of the best music releases from the beginning of September. In addition to the usuals like Armin, Alesso, Don Diablo Steve Aoki, and other DJs that are common in the EDM charts, this time there are some fresh recommendations:
New Song Recommendations
9/5 Grimes & i_o - Violence
After posting teasers to her Instagram account for some time, Canadian singer Grimes (real name Claire Elise Boucher) finally dropped a new track called Violence, as well as the accompanying music video. For this single, Grimes teamed up with up-and-coming techno producer i_o and even directed the music video herself. In the video, the artist is transformed into a Greek goddess- bearing a copy of Sun Tzu's art of war in her hands, Grimes dances to the ethereal sounds of synths. Although only just released several days ago, the new song has already garnered millions of views and has created a buzz about the upcoming Miss Anthropocene album- due out at the end of the year.
9/6 Don Diablo - Never Change
Don Diablo publicly stated that he spent a lot of time creating his latest track, Never Change. The song breathes new life in to Bruce Hornsby's 80s classic The Way It Is, which was originally sampled by Tupac for Changes, which was released in 1998- 2 years after the rapper's death. This version of the iconic song retains the piano elements of the original version, but putting an EDM spin on it brings out a completely different vibe.
9/6 Alesso x SUMR CAMP - In The Middle
After recently signing with the Shalizi Group, Swedish DJ Alesso dropped this fire house track:
9/6 FKA twigs - holy terrain (feat. Future)
OK, so this one isn't exactly EDM, but it's worth mentioning because FKA twigs and Future worked together with Skrillex to produce this track, named holy terrain. Twigs is on a roll at the moment after dropping her breathtaking song Cellophane with it's mesmerizing music video, during which her dance background comes out to play. Her next album Magdalene is due for release on October 25th.
9/10 Steve Aoki & Backstreet Boys - Let It Be Me
Steve Aoki truly is the king of collaborations, he's worked with artists across all genres of music and now has joined forces with the legendary US boy band Backstreet Boys. The new track they produced, Let It Be Me, is a pop number which talks about the challenges people face in love.
Aoki took to Twitter to promote the single, saying "We've all overcome challenges when loving someone, but love always wins in the end." Check out the heartfelt music video below, which features a diverse collection of people telling real stories about the troubles they have encountered in love.

9/7 Cashmere Cat - FOR YOUR EYES ONLY
Cashmere Cat just released the dreamlike track For Your Eyes Only, which sees the return of "Princess Catgirl". The wide-eyed animation represents Cashmere Cat himself and can be seen to dance her way around a forest as soft synths drift in and out, creating a melancholic feel to the video.
The music video for For Your Eyes Only was directed by Jake Schreier, the same person who directed the Emotions track which came out last month. Both tracks will feature on the Norwegian DJ's upcoming album Princess Catgirl, due for release on September 20.
8/30 Chico Rose & Afrojack -Sad
9/6 Armin van Buuren & Avian Grays - Something Real (feat. Jordan Shaw)
