The Not-So-Secret Dating Lives of DJs

Every headliner needs someone to support them

It's no secret that the lifestyle of a DJ is something to envy: flashy cars, private jets and decked out mansions are things that most people could only dream of. One of the aspects we're most curious about is our favourite headliners mysterious love lives... who are they dating, or are they still on the market? Let's take a look at four of the most eligible bachelors within the world of EDM and see the people who've stolen their hearts.

1. Martin Garrix

With his boyish charm and talent on the decks, number 1 DJ in the world Martin Garrix has captured the hearts of thousands. After he worked with Grammy Award winning singer-songwriter Dua Lipa on the track Scared To Be Lonely, the two posted a photo of them together sparking rumours that they were dating. Whilst we still don't know if those rumours were true or not, we can be certain that the DJ previously had a thing with Dutch visual artist Lynn Spoor.

Currently Garrix is dating model Charelle Schriek, a 26 year-old also from the Netherlands. According to the DJ's die-hard fans, after some serious investigating of Charelle's social media accounts they discovered that the two have already been dating for two years- so it's pretty safe to say that he's off the market!

2. ZEDD

In 2015, German-Canadian producer Zedd teamed up with Selena Gomez for their single I Want You To Know. Due to Zedd's superb producing skills and Selena's vocals, when the music video was released it quickly gained over 100 million views. It was around that time that Zedd and Selena officially became an item, causing a big stir among fans- particularly as Selena has such a huge following. In an interview with Billboard, Zedd said that the short time during which he and Selena were together brought a dramatic impact upon his life... considering how much of an idol Selena is to her fanbase, the DJ found himself quickly being dragged into the spotlight. He was thrust into completely unknown territory, living the life of a star who's constantly having their picture taken by the paparazzi, which he said made him feel pretty uncomfortable. Perhaps this is the reason why the relationship came to an end so soon?

In more recent news- according to TMZ's report- Zedd was spotted at Coachella this year getting pretty cosy with former Miss Universe Olivia Culpo...

3. Diplo

You can't mention Zelena without bringing up Diplo... the latter infamously took to Twitter to make his feelings pretty clear on the pair's relationship. The two DJs have shared beef online several times, with Diplo going so far as to say that Zedd and Selena coupling up was completely fake- nothing more than a publicity stunt to help promote their music.

Looking at Diplo's own love history, he's had some interesting flings... In 2009, Diplo began dating actress Kathryn Lockhart-the couple actually stayed together for five years and even have two sons together, Lockett and Lazer. The pair did not get married, but you can often see the two boys appearing in his social media posts. Following on from that, Diplo dated Katy Perry for several months and apparently even had a brief romance with Madonna. At the time of writing Diplo does not have a stable girlfriend, but he made headlines again after a recent plane scare, during which he posted "I never told you this but I might be gay" to his instagram.

4. Calvin Harris

Finally, Calvin Harris- his dating story begins back around 2012/13 when he started seeing Sports Illustrated model Anne V. Around that time, Harris was also rumored to be dating British singer Ellie Goulding, after they shared a kiss in the music video for I Need Your Love. Since then, Goulding has confirmed that those rumours were in fact... just rumours. Following on from that was another British singer Rita Ora: the pair were together for around a year before having a rather nasty and public break up. Their spat made the news when Ora was due to perform the song I Will Never Let You Down at the Teen Choice Awards in 2014, but Harris- who wrote and produced the track- refused to give her permission to do so. Moving 'swiftly' on... in 2015, US pop sensation Taylor Swift jumped on the scene after Ellie Goulding introduced her to Calvin at the Elle Style Awards. The couple dated for around a year and it seemed as though their every move was documented in the tabloids, however things came to an end rather unpleasantly. Comments were made on social media channels and less-than-subtle digs were hidden within song lyrics.

At present, Harris is dating Aarika Wolf, a model who previously starred in the music video for his song Blame in 2014. It turns out that this isn't the first time the pair have been together, as they dated for several months in 2015 and again in 2017- so hopefully third time's a charm!
