Book ing Bar is a hidden gem in Taipei’s Da’an District. To the untrained eye, this speakeasy appears to be a bookstore, but press down on the right book and the door slides open to reveal its secrets.

Once inside, Book ing bar’s dimmed lighting and exposed brick walls radiate a laid back, warm ambience, perfect if you’re looking for that ideal first date spot. The menu features a variety of cocktails with marks out of 10 for sweetness, acidity and even ‘tipsy level’, as well as a selection of food for sharing.
