09/26 Zedd - Good Thing (with Kehlani)
It’s been a while since Zedd released any new tracks, but the producer finally ended his quiet streak by teaming up with Californian singer-songwriter-dancer Kehlani. Last week, the two of them dropped their new track Good Thing, a lyric-driven number pushing the message for independence, self-love and embracing the single life. Bouncing synths pulse in and out as Kehlani sings the empowering lines "If they come along/I won't think twice/Cause I already got a good thing with me". Listen to the full track below.
09/27 Armin van Buuren - High On Your Love (feat. James Newman)
We can now expect a new track every week from Armin van Buuren until his new album, Balance comes out. This week’s new anthem, High On Your Love, is a collaboration with British singer-songwriter James Newman. This isn't the pair's first time working together, as they released the tropical house track, Therapy, last year. High On Your Love was cowritten by drum and bass band Rudimental; the track sees Armin take a more mainstream direction than the trance music he's usually known for and features an incredibly catchy drop
In other news, James Newman previously partnered up with Don Diablo to produce the future house track Head Up, take a listen to it below.
09/24 Jauz - Movin
Only Jauz can release three top-quality songs in a month. After two bass house tracks, Thunder and Shake, this new track Movin came out to be a tech house banger with some acid elements thrown in. There's clearly no denying that Jauz has the ability to excel in any genre he chooses.
09/27 RetroVision - Take Off
22 Year-old French DJ RetroVision just released his newest song, Take Off, under Tiësto's Musical Freedom label. The track is a booming mainstage anthem with a bold, bass-heavy drop, sharing similarities with his other track under the same label, We Like To Party. If you want to listen to his takes on other genres then you should try out One More Chance, his recently released song under Hexagon label.
09/27 Dyro - Masquerade
After signing into Revealed Recordings by Hardwell himself at the age of 18, Dyro has been able to work with lots of experienced producers like Hardwell, Tiesto, Martin Garrix etc. Though he went quiet for a few years, Dyro finally popper back onto the radar with his electro house style evident in the Martin Garrix collaboration Latency. The EDM producer then continued producing more new tracks like Bombai under STMPD label, which is a hit amongst other DJs and fans. This new release Masquerade emulates everything that Dyro is known for, high-energy EDM from start to finish... let's see how many DJs' playlists this one features in over the coming months.
09/27 Steff Da Campo & musicbyLUKAS - Push
The name Steff Da Campo may not be so familiar to you, but for those of you that enjoy house music, you might be familiar with his song Deeper Love which was released under Hexagon last year. This new track Push- for which he teamed up with musicbyLukas- is an old-school house track laden with synth chords, press play and find yourself instantly transport you to the club dancefloor. Last week, musicbyLUKAS uploaded a video to YouTube detailing how he got the chance to collaborate with Steff Da Campo, check it out here.
Zeds Dead X Funkin Matt - Feel So (feat. Fiora)
Zeds Dead joined forces with Funkin Matt on this latest track Feel So. Once the beat kicks in, this future house song has an extremely catchy, bouncy melody which showcases the best of both acts.
09/27 Garmiani - AVA
The lyrics in this one really struck a chord with us...
For AVA, Garmiani's iconic Djembe sound is met with a choir belting the words "Oh Yeah" on repeat. Truly a euphoric banger, the track is sure to be as successful as his other releases Bomb A Drop and FOGO, take a listen below.
SPACE LACES - Vaultage 002
Space Laces pulled through this week and came straight to break your neck. Vaultage 002 is more like a headbanger's feast, with 21 tracks mixed into a fifteen minutes long chaotic journey. Buried inside you can find a huge range of EDM genres, varying from hardcore to dubstep, downtempo and trap. If you want to let off some steam and release your inner dark side, this track is your best choice.
FestGround Editor's Choice
Flume - Rushing Back (feat. Vera Blue)
In the wake of his viral video in which he supposedly performs a 'sex act' at Burning Man, Flume released a new track Rushing Back this week. The song tells the story of a person being pushed to move forward during their lifetime when, one day, all their memories come flooding back, filling them with regret and causing them to dwell on the past. Flume's music is almost in a genre all to itself... with Vera Blue's beautiful vocals, the song is a good one to play in moments of introspection.
