Calvin Harris to Drop 'Love Regenerator II' on Valentine's Day
Feb 12, 2020 | by
With Valentine's Day just around the corner already, there's no better time for Calvin Harris to unveil the highly-anticipated follow-up to his debut Love Regenerator EP. Harris recently revealed the track names in a post on his Instagram: The Power Of Love II and Regenerate Love. Judging by the titles alone, these two new tracks should be just the thing to get you in that Valentine's mood.
The first installment in the Love Regenerator EP series contained two singles, CP-1 and Hypnagogic (I Can't Wait), as well as their edited versions. For these, Harris took us on a trip down memory lane, pulling inspiration from early rave, techno and house music— all of which he was infatuated with with while growing up.
Here's what the DJ had to say in a press release:
"I wanted to rediscover the way I originally began producing music 22 years ago. Before I ever thought about how it might be perceived by outside forces. Just pure fun and experimentation with what sounded good to me. The records are inspired by early rave, breaks, techno and house, the music I was obsessed with growing up. In fact, I’ve done everything I can to make them sound like they’ve come from a 1991 time capsule. Every synth and sound used is from that time period."
Whether you're all for Valentine's Day or would rather see the back of it, two more singles from this Scottish legend are a gift nevertheless! While impatiently waiting for them to drop, why don't you check out the tracks from Harris's Love Regenerator 1 or watch the mind-altering visuals below...
